ARGOS, Ind. (WISH) — A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 31 in Marshall County left one dead and two injured Wednesday afternoon.

At 3:30 p.m., a 2018 driven by 72-year-old Sharon Roth of Fulton County crossed U.S. 31 while attempting to turn east on State Road 110. Roth's vehicle collided with a 2021 Ford driven by 45-year-old Marija Bilic of Jenison, Michigan, who had a juvenile passenger.

The force of the impact caused the Chevrolet to come to a stop in the northbound lanes of U.S. 31, while the Ford was pushed off the roadway to the east side of U.S. 31.

Roth suffered fatal injuries and was at the scene by the Marshall County Coroner's Office. Her family has been notified. Bilic and the juvenile passenger were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said there is no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The investigation continues, and toxicology reports are pending.
