One Person Dead in Aiken County Single-Car Collision on Christmas Eve
A fatal single-car crash occurred in Aiken County on December 24, 2023, claiming the life of one driver.
According to Master Trooper Hannah Davidson of the S.C. Highway Patrol, a 2007 Kia Spectra was traveling north on Connector Road when it crossed the center line and left the roadway. The vehicle struck a culvert and subsequently overturned.
The driver of the Kia, 18-year-old Aiden C. Judy of Graniteville, was ejected from the vehicle and was unrestrained at the time of the accident, reported Aiken County Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Ramey. Judy was pronounced dead at 9:18 p.m. A toxicology analysis is pending.
The S.C. Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Coroner's Office are conducting an investigation into the incident.
