Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Boat Club Road: Intoxication Charges Filed
Fort Worth, TX (Sunday, Date) — A woman was killed and three others critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Boat Club Road Sunday afternoon, according to Fort Worth Police.
Authorities responded to a call at approximately 2:41 p.m. in the 6000 block of Boat Club Road. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, although the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office has not confirmed the victim's identity as of Monday afternoon.
Police reported that one person has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. The identity of the suspect has not been disclosed.
The conditions of the three critically injured individuals remain unclear, and police have not provided information regarding the vehicle they were in during the incident.
Community members have expressed their grief following the crash, with locals honoring the victim. “We've lost someone really important in our community,” said a resident who chose to remain anonymous while placing flowers at the scene.
Family members have also shared their condolences, with one individual, Daquirie Thanphirom, drawing parallels between this incident and her own loss earlier this year when her brother died in a related crash.
Thanphirom emphasized the need for improved road safety, particularly lighting on Boat Club Road, which she noted can be dark and dangerous. NBC 5 has reached out to District 7 Councilmember Macy Hill for comments on the safety measures but has yet to receive a response.
