A man died Wednesday morning in a rollover crash on U.S. Highway 71 near South Kansas City.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. involving a single vehicle that rolled over multiple times. Emergency responders arrived on the scene to provide medical aid, but the driver was pronounced dead at the site.
The identity of the victim has not been released, pending notification of next of kin. Authorities said no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Traffic was impacted due to lane closures while the scene was investigated. Tows were dispatched to clear the vehicle from the roadway, and lanes were reopened by 10:00 a.m.
