BOSTON, MA — A 68-year-old woman was struck and killed by an SUV outside Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain on Thursday.
Patricia McGrath, of Dorchester, was identified by the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office on Friday.
The incident occurred outside the Belkin House, a freestanding building on the hospital campus, and remains under investigation. Authorities said no criminal charges have been filed at this time.
Witnesses reported that McGrath was sitting on a bench when the SUV crashed. Two occupants of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and were also taken to Faulkner Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have indicated the crash appears to be a tragic accident, rather than intentional.
