Oklahoma City Crash Investigated as Double Homicide
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—A fatal crash Friday afternoon has led authorities to investigate it as a double homicide, according to police.
The incident occurred near Wilshire Boulevard and Kelley Avenue at approximately 2:41 p.m. Oklahoma City Police report that a driver intentionally crossed into oncoming traffic, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
Police identified the victims as 31-year-old Jonathan Wooldridge and 30-year-old Sierra Gamble. Witnesses reported seeing memorials of balloons, flowers, and candles in the area where the victims lost their lives.
Gamble and the suspect, 34-year-old Aaron Taylor, shared a daughter. According to court records, Taylor had a prior domestic case involving Gamble in 2022 that was dismissed.
Authorities said Taylor physically assaulted Gamble prior to the crash, during which he crossed the center line and collided with Wooldridge's vehicle. Wooldridge was on his way to assist a coworker at the time of the accident.
Taylor was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of kidnapping.
