Central Ohio — April 16, 2026: Local officials charged two people within five days in separate fatal interstate crashes, authorities said.
According to local officials, semi driver Modou Ngom, 50, faces aggravated vehicular homicide charges in Delaware County Common Pleas Court after an April 11 crash on Interstate 71 that killed a local veterinarian, her husband and their 1-year-old son.
Authorities said a second aggravated vehicular homicide case was filed in connection with another fatal crash on a central Ohio interstate during the same period.
Officials have not released additional details, including roadway direction, lane closures, responding agencies or medical aid.
