Motorcyclist in Critical Condition Following New Bedford Crash

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — A crash involving a motorcycle and a occurred just before 10 p.m. on Friday night, sending the motorcyclist to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition, according to the New Bedford Police Department.

The motorcycle rider, whose identity has not been released, sustained severe injuries and was first taken to St. Luke's Hospital before being to Rhode Island Hospital. The driver of the was uninjured.

During the incident, a bystander, identified as 28-year-old Katrina Kao of Fall River, approached the crash scene. Police reported that she refused to leave after being asked multiple times. Kao has been charged with interfering with a police officer, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace.

As of now, no charges have been filed related to the crash itself. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
