LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A motorcycle crash on North Nellis Boulevard late Friday night left the rider with life-threatening injuries, officials confirmed.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:03 p.m. near Cedar Avenue. A 2005 Honda VTX1300 motorcycle was traveling southbound on North Nellis Boulevard when a 2019 Kia Optima, driven by a 32-year-old woman, exited a private drive and failed to yield.
The motorcycle collided with the driver's side of the Kia as it entered the roadway. Emergency Medical Services transported the motorcyclist to University Medical Center, where their injuries were deemed life-threatening. The Kia driver sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital; a passenger in the vehicle was unharmed.
Authorities noted that the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section is conducting an investigation into the crash.
