LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A fiery crash on Interstate 15 in Mesquite on Sunday resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries.
According to Mesquite Fire Rescue, an RV collided near Pioneer Road, leading to three people being transported to local hospitals. Witnesses reported hearing multiple explosions as bystanders attempted to rescue individuals trapped inside the burning vehicle.
Mesquite Police said several citizens acted heroically to assist the injured. One person was successfully moved to safety from the roadway, while another was pulled from the RV just before it was engulfed in flames. Responders reported individuals offering water and blankets to those in need at the scene.
Officers praised the quick actions and courage of the bystanders, noting their selflessness in the face of danger. The specific cause of the crash is still under investigation.
