ADA COUNTY, Idaho — A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 left a 20-year-old motorcyclist hospitalized with serious injuries on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. at milepost 48, according to the Idaho State Police. The motorcyclist, a Meridian resident, was riding a 2026 Kawasaki ZX636 eastbound when he collided with the rear of a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 60-year-old Meridian woman. A 2015 Ford F-150, driven by a 61-year-old Boise man, subsequently struck the motorcycle.
Emergency personnel transported the motorcyclist to the hospital. Authorities confirmed he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The drivers of the Pacifica and F-150, as well as a passenger in the Pacifica, were using seatbelts.
Eastbound lanes of I-84 were closed for approximately 1.5 hours while responders cleared the scene. The investigation is ongoing, with Idaho State Police leading the inquiry.
