Idaho State Police Probe Injury Crash on Highway 21 Near Idaho City.

BOISE COUNTY, Idaho (CBS2) — A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries Saturday afternoon in a collision on State Highway 21 near Idaho City.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at 12:19 p.m. on July 4, 2026, near milepost 31. A 2025 KTM 390, operated by a 27-year-old Idaho City man, collided with the rear of a blue Bronco traveling in the same direction, according to Idaho State Police.

The 46-year-old driver of the Bronco, from Medford, Oregon, was wearing a seat belt and did not require transportation to a medical facility. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was with serious injuries.

State Highway 21 was blocked for approximately 24 minutes as emergency responders managed the scene. The incident is under investigation by Idaho State Police, with assistance from the Idaho City Police Department, Boise County Search and Rescue, and Air St. Luke's.
