Motorcyclist Dies Following Tuscaloosa County Crash

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL—A 23-year-old motorcyclist, Curtis Waylon Duco, died on Oct. 13, two days after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Crescent Ridge Road and Sixth Street East.

According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Duco was operating his motorcycle when it collided with a Toyota Corolla around 7:54 p.m. on Oct. 11. Both vehicles subsequently caught fire.

Duco was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Tuscaloosa Police Department's Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident.

No further details about the crash conditions or the status of the Corolla driver have been released.
