North Idaho Man Dies in Highway E-Bike Collision.

SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho — A 35-year-old man died from injuries sustained in an e-bike crash on State Highway 41 Friday evening.

The Idaho State Police reported the incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. near milepost 20, just outside Spirit Lake in Bonner County. According to authorities, the man lost control of his electrically assisted and was thrown from it onto the right shoulder of the road.

Emergency responders performed life-saving efforts; however, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His identity has been confirmed, and next of kin have been notified, though authorities have withheld his name pending further investigation. He was wearing a -style helmet at the time of the incident.

The highway was closed for about three hours as police conducted their investigation, which is ongoing. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
