22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Scituate Crash
SCITUATE, R.I. — A 22-year-old man from Foster was killed in a motorcycle accident involving a tow truck on Tunk Hill Road at approximately 10 p.m. on Friday, according to the Scituate Police Department.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling westbound when the tow truck, which had its emergency lights activated, exited a driveway. Witnesses stated the motorcycle was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, while the operator of the tow truck was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Preliminary reports suggest that speed may have played a role in the incident. The investigation is ongoing, as confirmed by local police.
