MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 27-year-old Mansfield man died Tuesday night in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on South Trimble Road, authorities said.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers from the Mansfield Post responded around 11:30 p.m. to South Trimble Road near West Cook Road.
Authorities said the rider, Wesley Perdue, 27, was operating a 2009 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic when he went off the right side of the roadway and struck a sign.
Perdue was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, according to the Patrol.
The Mansfield Police Department is still investigating the crash.
