Motorcyclist Dies in Crash on State Route 315 in Columbus
A motorcyclist was killed early Saturday in a crash on State Route 315 in Columbus, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 19 at West North Broadway. According to Columbus police, the motorcycle “became destabilized,” resulting in the rider being thrown onto the roadway.
Emergency personnel transported the motorcyclist to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where the individual was pronounced dead. Authorities have not released the rider's identity, but confirmed that the victim was an adult.
The Columbus police Accident Investigation Unit is currently investigating the crash. Officials are working to determine the circumstances that led to the rider being thrown from the motorcycle.
