Woonsocket, RI — A weekend crash on I-95 resulted in the deaths of two individuals, according to the Rhode Island State Police.
The victims were identified as 73-year-old Bernard Omo, the driver, and 69-year-old Milagros Olmo, both residents of Woonsocket. The incident occurred as their vehicle veered off the roadway onto a ramp and collided with another vehicle entering I-95 from Route 113 West.
Authorities are investigating whether Omo suffered a medical emergency leading up to the crash. The driver of the second vehicle is currently in critical condition, according to police.
Emergency responders attended to the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing. No further details about injuries or lane closures were available at this time.
