Motorcyclist Dies in Crash at Busy Meridian Intersection.

MERIDIAN, Idaho — A deadly crash involving a box truck occurred Monday afternoon at 3:56 p.m. at the intersection of North Locust Grove Road and East Ustick Road.

According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), an 18-year-old man from Meridian was riding a blue 2007 Yamaha FZ6 northbound on Locust Grove when a white 2020 Hino 195 box truck turned left from the southbound lanes onto Ustick Road, resulting in a collision.

The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The 34-year-old driver of the box truck from Caldwell was wearing a seatbelt and did not require medical attention.

Authorities reported that the intersection remained closed for approximately five hours as crews conducted an investigation and cleared debris from the scene.
