Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Near I-90 On-Ramp in Bozeman
BOZEMAN, MT — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision near an Interstate 90 on-ramp on Friday, July 3, around 10 p.m.
The incident occurred at Frontage Road and the westbound on-ramp to I-90. According to authorities, a Jeep traveling east on Frontage Road turned left onto the highway as a dirt bike was heading west, resulting in a collision with the passenger side of the Jeep.
Emergency responders, including the Bozeman Fire Department and American Medical Response, arrived at the scene, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead. Investigators noted that the dirt bike lacked a headlight, which may have contributed to the crash. The Jeep driver, cooperating with the investigation, is not believed to have been impaired.
The Gallatin County Coroner will release the identity of the deceased later. The Bozeman Police Department emphasized its condolences to the family and friends of the motorcyclist, highlighting the impact of this tragic loss on the community.
