RICHMOND, Va. — A man sustained life-threatening injuries after being shot multiple times while driving in the Stratford Hills area on October 4.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of East Tremont. According to authorities, the victim was shot while operating a sedan before crashing into a parked vehicle, which then collided with an apartment building.
Emergency response teams, including Richmond Fire and public utilities crews, were dispatched to the scene. Gas to the affected building was shut off, while forensic investigators collected evidence and assessed the property damage.
The man was transported to Chippenham Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are investigating the incident and believe that several witnesses may have observed the vehicle traveling down Tremont. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000 or submit a tip via the P3 app.
