Man Sentenced to 12 Years for OUI Crash that Killed Three on Christmas Day
A man was sentenced to at least 12 years in prison for a drunk driving crash that killed three people on Christmas Day 2023 in Boston.
Authorities said the man, 32, pleaded guilty to multiple charges including Operating Under the Influence (OUI) and vehicular homicide. The crash occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. on December 25 along Interstate 93 southbound, involving two vehicles.
Medical personnel pronounced three victims dead at the scene. Two additional passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Massachusetts State Police responded to the incident, conducting an investigation that found the driver had a blood alcohol content significantly above the legal limit.
Witnesses reported seeing the driver swerving before the collision. The crash resulted in the closure of two lanes for approximately four hours while debris was cleared and investigations were completed.
