Man Dies in Wrong-Way Crash in Minot, According to State Troopers.

MINOT — A 73-year-old man died in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 2 on Tuesday, June 16, according to state troopers.

Authorities reported that the man, driving a 2022 Can Am Maverick X3 UTV, was traveling west on the eastbound off-ramp in east Minot. He collided head-on with a 60-year-old Minot resident driving a 2017 XT5 east on the highway.

The UTV driver was not wearing a seat belt or helmet at the time of the crash, while the driver, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries. Emergency response teams attended the scene, and medical aid was provided.

The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Lane closures were implemented following the crash.
