GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WCHS) — A two-vehicle crash in Gallia County on Monday night has resulted in one fatality, according to authorities.
The accident occurred just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Georges Creek Road and Johnson Ridge Road, as reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers stated that Kruz White, 32, of Gallipolis, was traveling westbound on Georges Creek Road when he crossed left of center and collided with another vehicle backing out of a driveway, which was in the eastbound lane at the time of the impact.
White was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle sustained no injuries, authorities said.
Georges Creek Road was closed for approximately two hours to allow for the investigation to be conducted, according to the press release.
