A crash on Interstate 190 in Leominster, Massachusetts early Tuesday morning resulted in one fatality and one injury.
Troopers responded to the incident southbound at approximately 5:15 a.m., according to State Police. A 55-year-old man from Fitchburg succumbed to his injuries, while another driver was transported to a local hospital; the extent of their injuries remains unknown.
Authorities have not disclosed the name of the deceased or the potential cause of the collision.
The southbound lanes were closed for several hours as investigators examined the scene, reopening around 7:30 a.m.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
