Three-Vehicle Crash in Osage County Injures One Driver
A crash involving three vehicles occurred Monday in Osage County, resulting in serious injuries to one driver.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2019 Kia Sportage was traveling south on Highway 63 near the Quaker Windows facility. Two northbound tractor-trailers were also involved in the incident.
The lead truck slowed for traffic, prompting the second semi-truck to swerve to avoid a collision. The southbound Kia then struck the right front of the veering tractor-trailer before crashing into the second truck.
A 56-year-old female driver of the Kia sustained serious injuries and was transported to Phelps Hospital by EMS.
MSHP confirmed that all individuals involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Further details regarding lane closures and the ongoing investigation have not yet been released.
