Boone County, MO. – Five people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision early Wednesday morning in Boone County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:25 a.m. on I-70 near mile marker 115.
A 2013 Nissan Murano was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-70 when it struck a Toyota Camry and an Acura RDX, causing one of the cars to travel off the side of the road.
A 20-year-old Grandview man driving the Nissan was hospitalized with minor injuries. His two male passengers were transported to the hospital with moderate and serious injuries.
The Camry was carrying two passengers who suffered minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
