WEST JORDAN, Utah (KUTV) — A juvenile passenger was killed, and another was hospitalized following a crash involving a fleeing vehicle on Mountain View Corridor on Saturday morning.
According to West Jordan Police, officers from South Jordan attempted to stop a vehicle; however, the driver fled. Officers discontinued the pursuit, but the driver continued to evade authorities.
The vehicle subsequently crashed at the intersection of Mountain View Corridor and Old Bingham Highway in West Jordan. A juvenile passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while another juvenile was transported to Primary Children's Hospital; their role in the vehicle remains unconfirmed.
The adult driver of the second vehicle, which was not involved in the South Jordan incident, was hospitalized in stable condition.
The crash is under investigation, with police remaining at the scene to gather additional details.
