LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bond was set at $1 million for Kevin Moore, 43, accused of crashing into a TARC bus stop while driving under the influence.
According to authorities, Moore ran a red light at Dixie Highway and Rockford Lane in Shively, colliding with another vehicle. His truck then veered onto the sidewalk, striking the bus stop where several people were present.
Danielle Cordes, 43, died at the scene, and four others sustained injuries. Witnesses reported that Moore admitted to consuming alcohol about an hour prior to the incident.
During a Wednesday morning arraignment, Moore's attorney sought a lower bond, but the judge deemed $1 million appropriate, stating, “I acknowledge that these circumstances are really just heartbreaking.”
Moore faces charges including murder and DUI. The investigation is ongoing.
