Chrysler Recalls Nearly 100,000 Jeep Vehicles Due to Drive Power Loss Risk

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Chrysler has announced a recall involving approximately 91,787 Jeep Grand Cherokee Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) due to a software error that may result in loss of drive power, increasing crash risk.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration confirmed the recall affects 2022 through 2026 models of the Jeep Grand Cherokee PHEV. Authorities stated the software issue relates to the hybrid control processor, which could lead to unexpected power loss while driving.

Chrysler is currently developing a remedy for the issue and plans to notify affected vehicle owners by Oct. 23, 2025. The company has advised owners to remain vigilant regarding further updates related to the situation.
