COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — One person was killed in a crash involving a semi truck on Wednesday morning near the I-70 West to I-270 South ramp.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:25 a.m. on the west side of Columbus. According to authorities, the semi truck experienced a medical emergency, resultingin it crashing into a guardrail. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services responded promptly, but the driver's condition left no chance for medical aid. The crash has prompted an investigation by the local authorities.
As a result of the accident, lanes were closed for a significant period to allow for cleanup and investigation.
