Driver Arrested on Intoxication Manslaughter Charge Following Fatal Crash in Local Area
A driver was arrested for intoxication manslaughter after a collision that resulted in one fatality on Main Street at 2:41 p.m. yesterday.
According to authorities, the incident involved two vehicles—a sedan and an SUV—traveling eastbound when they collided. Emergency responders from the Local Fire Department and Medical Services arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. One occupant in the sedan, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that the driver of the SUV, a 28-year-old woman, exhibited signs of intoxication and was subsequently taken into custody. She faces charges of intoxication manslaughter.
The crash caused significant lane closures on Main Street as investigators examined the scene. Towing services were on-site to remove the vehicles involved.
