Impaired Driver Causes Multi-Vehicle Accident near Las Vegas Strip

Lede: A suspected impaired driver caused a four-vehicle accident near the Las Vegas Strip on Monday evening.

Details: The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. at the intersection of 6th Street and Sahara Avenue. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, an traveling west on Sahara failed to stop at a red light and collided with a vehicle headed south.

The collision pushed the SUV into a median, striking multiple cars that were stopped at the red light on Sahara. Authorities reported that all injuries sustained in the crash were minor.

Police suspect impairment on the part of the SUV driver. Westbound Sahara Avenue is currently closed at 6th Street as an investigation is underway.
