Ambulance accident in Summerlin leaves one with minor injuries.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — An ambulance overturned in a crash at a busy Summerlin intersection Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on westbound Charleston Boulevard near the 215 Beltway, according to the Nevada State Police. Authorities reported that an collided with the ambulance, causing it to roll onto its side.

At the time of the crash, the ambulance was responding to a call with its lights activated; however, it was not transporting any patients. According to Trooper Shawn Haggstrom, one ambulance employee in the rear of the vehicle was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

American Medical Response, the private ambulance company involved, confirmed its vehicle was in the incident and stated it will cooperate with ongoing investigations. “AMR remains deeply committed to the wellbeing of our community and caregivers,” a company representative said. “We extend our gratitude to the first responders and medical professionals who promptly assisted.”

Further details regarding road blockages or lane closures were not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
