A head-on collision in Canyon County, Idaho, early Monday resulted in one fatality, authorities confirmed.
The crash occurred at 2:33 a.m. near Simplot Boulevard and Farmway Road. According to Idaho State Police, a 2001 Kenworth commercial vehicle was traveling westbound when a 2010 Ford Fusion crossed the center line, colliding head-on with the Kenworth.
The driver of the Kenworth, a 57-year-old man from American Falls, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries, authorities said. The driver of the Ford, identified as a middle-aged man from Homedale, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Roadway conditions remained impacted, as authorities continued to investigate the incident.
