One woman killed and four others injured in US-26 crash in Bonneville County.

BONNEVILLE COUNTY — A two-vehicle crash resulted in the death of one Idaho Falls woman and injuries to four others on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 4:26 p.m. at milepost 349 on US-26, just south of Ririe, according to Idaho State Police (ISP). A 2007 Tundra, driven by a 37-year-old man from Ammon and carrying three juvenile passengers, was traveling westbound when it collided with a 2017 Accord.

Authorities reported that the driver of the , a 44-year-old woman from Idaho Falls, died at the scene. The occupants of the were transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance. All occupants of the Toyota were wearing seat belts, while the Honda driver was not, according to ISP.

The left lane of westbound US-26 was closed for approximately three hours following the incident. ISP is investigating the crash and urges witnesses or anyone with information to contact the District 6 office at 208-528-3400.
