LA GUARDIA AIRPORT, NYC — September 11, 2023 — Charlotte Jørgensen, a former competitor on “Dancing with the Stars,” confirmed her survival of a plane crash involving Air Canada 8646 at LaGuardia Airport.
According to Authorities, the incident occurred when the aircraft collided with a fire truck on the runway. The two pilots, Captain Antoine Forest and First Officer Mackenzie Gunther, were killed in the crash. A total of 40 passengers were taken to local hospitals, with some sustaining serious injuries.
Jørgensen recounted her experience on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the pilots' sacrifice and sharing her emotional recovery process. She reported, “On the night I felt nothing as adrenaline was rushing through my body, but the days after have been tough – physically, mentally, and emotionally.”
She also thanked her supporters and indicated that she is currently focusing on healing with the help of loved ones.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the incident, which resulted in lane closures at LaGuardia.
