DES MOINES, Iowa — A vigil for 25-year-old Luke Miller, who died in a motorcycle crash over the weekend, drew hundreds on Sunday night.
Authorities confirmed the identity of Miller, who was involved in the crash while leaving a benefit for another injured motorcyclist. The incident is under investigation, with details regarding the specific circumstances still pending.
Bret Miller, Luke's brother, remarked on the support shown at the vigil, saying it has helped ease the family's loss. “He treated everyone like family… He was very important to everyone,” Bret said.
In a separate incident following the vigil, another motorcyclist was critically injured after being struck by a truck at a nearby intersection, according to KCCI. Emergency services were on site, and lane closures were reported as investigations continued.
