A Holts Summit woman suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Boone County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 11:05 a.m. on westbound U.S. 50 at Lookout Trail.
Troopers reported that a 41-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet Equinox attempted to cross the westbound lanes when her vehicle was struck by a westbound Hyundai Elantra operated by an 18-year-old woman from California, Missouri.
The Holts Summit driver was transported by Cole County Ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City with serious injuries. The other driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle.
The roadway was temporarily closed for an investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
