STEPHENS COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A Marlow man died after a crash involving wild pigs in Stephens County on Sunday evening.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 63-year-old Roger Cummings was driving westbound on Sandhill Road at approximately 6:15 p.m. when his vehicle struck a herd of about 10 wild pigs.
Authorities reported that the impact caused Cummings' vehicle to veer off the road, cross a ditch, and collide with a fence. The vehicle continued along the fence line, rolling over twice and ejecting Cummings in the process.
Emergency responders pronounced Cummings dead at the scene after the vehicle came to rest on top of him. The investigation is ongoing, and lane closures were in effect during the response.
