GARFIELD COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A Pawnee man died following a crash near a railroad crossing in Garfield County on July 23.
Around 6:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to the incident at US Hwy 412 and 78th St. According to authorities, a vehicle was stationary at the crossing with its flashers activated when it was rear-ended by another vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 32-year-old Dustin Laffoon, succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.
An investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not reported any additional injuries. No lane closures were noted following the incident.
