A crash involving a vehicle and a utility pole occurred near Gum Branch Road and Western Boulevard in Jacksonville on Tuesday afternoon.
The Jacksonville Police Department reported that the collision resulted in a power outage, causing traffic lights at the intersection to fail. Authorities confirmed downed utility poles and low-hanging lines in the vicinity.
Gum Branch Road is closed south of Western Boulevard. Northbound traffic is redirected onto New Frontier Way, while southbound traffic is being routed onto Western Boulevard, according to police.
No injuries or fatalities were reported. Emergency crews remain on the scene to assist with traffic control and to address the utility issue. The investigation is ongoing.
