Girl, 1, Killed in Hillsborough County Car Accident on Highway 4

Orlando, FL. – A 1-year-old girl died in a car accident that left two other people injured on Friday morning in Hillsborough County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Highway 4 near milepost 10.

A 21-year-old Englewood woman was driving a Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Highway 4 when she rear-ended a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 30-year-old woman from Dundee.

Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

A 3-year-old boy, a 6-year-old girl, and a 1-year-old girl in the Toyota were transported to the hospital where the 1-year-old girl died.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
