Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 43 in Tuscaloosa County
TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL — A multi-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 43 Wednesday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the collision happened around 3:15 p.m. near the intersection with Marshall Road. Four vehicles were involved in the incident, including two SUVs and two sedans. Authorities confirmed that one driver, a 28-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two additional individuals were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency services, including Tuscaloosa County Fire and Rescue and the local EMTs, responded promptly to the scene. The highway was temporarily closed in both directions to allow for rescue operations and investigation.
