Fatal Crash in Hudson Claims One Life, FHP Investigates
HUDSON, FL — A fatal crash occurred Thursday morning on U.S. Highway 19, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The incident involved two vehicles and was reported at approximately 8:15 a.m. Authorities confirmed that one individual died at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Emergency services, including Pasco County Fire Rescue, responded to the scene to provide medical aid. Two additional occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
As of 9:30 a.m., the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 19 were closed for investigation and cleanup, leading to significant traffic delays. Tow trucks were on site to remove the vehicles involved.
