FBI Agents Injured in Crash During Ongoing Investigation

NEW ORLEANS — Three FBI agents involved in an on-duty crash Thursday night have been released from the hospital.

According to the FBI's New Orleans office, the incident occurred around 9 p.m. near the intersection of AP Tureaud and Aubry streets. Louisiana State Police reported that a suspect's vehicle attempted to flee, colliding with two FBI vehicles before striking a trailer.

The driver and occupants of the suspect's were taken into custody, sustaining no injuries. Two individuals, identified as Donald Bryant and Cinque Williams, were arrested by the NOPD. Authorities stated Bryant faces multiple charges including illegal possession of stolen firearms, possession of illegal drugs, reckless operation of a vehicle, and resisting arrest. He is also wanted out of Orleans Parish. Williams faces similar charges, including being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest, and has outstanding warrants from Jefferson Parish.

The agents sustained minor injuries and received medical attention before their release. The investigation related to the agents' assignments is ongoing, and further details have not been disclosed by the FBI. The Louisiana State Police continues to investigate the crash.
