Fatal Crash Closes I-95 North in Seabrook
SEABROOK, N.H. — A fatal crash involving a commercial vehicle and a pedestrian caused the temporary closure of Interstate 95 North on Tuesday morning, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Authorities reported that the incident occurred when a pedestrian was struck by a tractor-trailer. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the tractor-trailer remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police are looking into the circumstances surrounding why the pedestrian was in a travel lane.
The northbound lanes of I-95 were shut down just north of the Massachusetts border following the crash. By 9 a.m., two northbound lanes reopened, with the highway fully cleared by 10:15 a.m.
