LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX NEWS) — A fatal crash occurred on I-64 West in Woodford County on Thursday around 11:30 a.m., according to Kentucky State Police.
The collision involved a tractor-trailer and a GMC SUV near the 61 mile marker, close to the Midway Exit. One occupant of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, Trooper Andy Stepp reported.
Both westbound lanes were closed for several hours as accident reconstruction investigators examined the area. The lanes have since reopened.
