Fatal Crash Closes Section of I-69 North of Bloomington
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A crash claimed one life Saturday morning on Interstate 69, north of Bloomington.
The incident occurred around 6 a.m. in the northbound lanes, just north of the Sample Road interchange, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
By 8:30 a.m., I-69 was closed between East Sample Road and State Road 45/46, approximately three miles north of Bloomington.
Authorities reported that northbound traffic is being redirected onto State Road 46 westbound to U.S. 231. Northbound vehicles are prohibited from proceeding beyond the State Road 46 interchange.
