UPDATE:
A 77-year-old man from Jefferson City died in a motorcycle crash on U.S. 54 near Brown Road on Monday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol's report indicates the man failed to yield at a stop sign, colliding with the side of an SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV's driver and passenger, both 20 years old, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Lake Regional Hospital.
The crash led to a complete closure of the eastbound lanes of U.S. 54, which has since been reopened.

Drivers were advised to avoid U.S. 54 on Monday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes, south of Jefferson City.
